Key amendments to the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1965 to regulate ride-hailing services.
Purpose
- Emission Control: All PVH/CVH are required to obtain vehicle emission testing certificates
- TNC Licensing: Mandatory licensing for companies (In-Drive, Yango, etc.).
- Data Sharing: Real-time driver/vehicle data sharing with PTA.
- CVH/PVH: Distinct categories for Commercial & Private Vehicles for Hire.
- Safety: Enhanced passenger safety protocols mandated by law.
